Lesson Plan:
Overview: To incorporate the Got 2B Safe rules - check first, it's my body, go with a friend, tell a trusted adutl - into our classroom environment and community.

Key Points: Students will learn the Got 2B Safe rules and incorporate into content area research. The students will create a 'rap' for the rules and teach it to at least 5 other students at our school and family members.

Lesson Plan:
Monday - Introduce, model, and discuss each of the four rules. Discuss the importance of safety and connect prior knowledge with each of the four rules. Send information home to have parents and students work out a plan in the event something needs to be discussed. This would include identifying a 'trusted adult'.
Tuesday - Read aloud book incorporating how the characters are using one of our rules.
Wednesday - Students will work together in small groups to create a 'rap' teaching others our Got 2B Safe rules. Have a member of the local police unit come in as guest speaker. Invite parents/guardians to come for the speaker.
Thursday - Class share of raps and incorporate into one. Finalize and practice as whole class.
Friday - Share rap on the morning announcements and volunteer to teach other students the song.
